Leasing Consultant
– Whispering Ridge Apartments, Omaha, Nebraska Centerspace is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused Leasing Consultant to join our team at Whispering Ridge Apartments in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will drive your own success by meeting leasing goals and fostering strong, professional relationships with prospective and current residents. The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $18–$20, with the opportunity to earn commissions on new leases and bonuses for renewals. As part of the selection process, all candidates are required to complete a 35-minute pre-employment assessment after submitting the job application. Completion of this assessment is mandatory for further consideration. Failure to complete the assessment will result in the discontinuation of candidacy. This position is eligible for:

Responsibilities
Responsible for the rental of apartment units to maintain maximum occupancy and deliver an exceptional customer experience that promotes retention by performing the following duties. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Manage the sales/leasing funnel at the assigned community(s). Produce sales results in line with company performance benchmarks. Evaluate competitors’ offerings and pricing through regular surveys and visits. Prepare the office and tour path for business. Prospect generation through online advertising, business outreach, and grassroots campaigns. Assist with community social media as directed, following set standards for quality and frequency. Provide service to new applicants to help secure approval, coordinate leasing documents for move-in, and conduct move-in orientation for each new resident. Provide excellent service to existing residents for housing needs. Focus on resident retention, assist with resident events and appreciation campaigns. Communicate and coordinate with onsite and support teams to ensure resident needs are handled with a high level of service. Assist with package handling. Coordinate communication with residents via phone, email, text, resident portal, and resident app. Interact professionally with employees, customers, vendors, and suppliers. Work effectively as a team contributor and independently as needed, coordinating with other team members and stakeholders. Deliver high levels of resident satisfaction while maintaining Fair Housing Practices. Address and resolve issues; participate in industry networking and service projects to promote Centerspace.
Qualifications
Education & Experience Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred:
Background in sales. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Language Skills:
Read and interpret lease documents, safety rules, instructions, and manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Mathematical Skills:
Add, subtract, multiply, and divide; compute rate, ratio, and percent. Reasoning Ability:
Solve practical problems and interpret instructions in various formats. Computer Skills:
Proficient with property management software (MRI preferred); working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Physical & Travel Requirements
Regular talking/hearing; occasional sitting, standing, walking; use of hands; occasional lifting up to 10 pounds; required vision abilities. Some local travel may be required.
Supervisory & Equipment
This role has no supervisory responsibilities. Standard computer package issued; if a mobile phone is required, eligible for monthly reimbursement according to policy.
