Overview
SUMMARY:
The person in this position administratively assists the Field HR managers and the Corporate Benefits Team.
Responsibilities
Perform data entry and verification in the HRIS system, updating items such as address changes, data input for new hires, terminations, training, benefit changes, deductions, etc.
Assemble reports, compile data, and summarize records/reports manually or using basic computer programs; be responsible for maintenance of the HRIS and payroll systems
Provide clerical support related to employee benefit communications
Assist employees with benefit questions, completing forms, and other similar situations as they arise
Respond within twenty-four hours to routine questions from the field
Assist if needed in processing requests to assist in the administration of required regulatory policies such as FMLA, FELA, COBRA, and company-administered policies such as relocation
Assist with other projects and perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and/or Experience
Familiarity with regulations pertaining to regulatory policies such as FMLA, FELA, and COBRA
One to two years of experience in the field of human resources
Proficiency in HRIS system and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Required Education and/or Credentials
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
