Job Summary The Commercial Lines Account Manager provides strategic consultation, effective relationship management, and innovative use of technology to drive client success. The role involves sales and service of insurance products, ensuring retention, handling complaints, actioning renewals, and overseeing client relationships. The Account Manager leverages market insights to enhance service delivery, identify cross‑selling opportunities, and support clients with all their commercial insurance needs.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:
Serve as primary point of contact, manage day‑to‑day communications, foster strong relationships, and maintain accurate policy updates in the Agency Management System.
Strategic Engagement and Execution:
Implement and monitor data‑driven marketing campaigns, coordinate renewals, drive retention and growth targets, and support client adoption of self‑service tools.
Strategic Planning and Support:
Identify new opportunities for client growth, share best practices, stay updated with industry trends, and collaborate with Digital Marketing, HR, Compliance and third‑party partners.
Support cross‑functional initiatives that enhance overall digital strategy and contribute to client success.
Promote additional digital services, drive innovation, and meet or exceed client retention and satisfaction metrics.
Perform other tasks or projects as requested by service team or region leadership.
Required Qualifications
Strong client management and relationship‑building skills with a client‑focused approach.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to convey complex information clearly.
Experience using account management software and multitasking across multiple systems.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Creative problem‑solving abilities and a passion for customer service.
Hold applicable insurance licenses.
Minimum of two years of experience in account management or a related role, with a current license held for over one year.
Proven experience in managing client relationships and achieving retention targets.
Experience in remarketing clients across multiple carriers, delivering proposals and providing consultation on available solutions.
Ability to cross‑sell products to broaden the total client relationship.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with Applied Epic.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
