Overview The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for developing business with key clients in the Aerospace and Construction industry, as well as any other Fabrication & Coatings work scopes with significant potential to become a major contributor to growth and profitability.

Responsibilities And Duties

Prospect new accounts and generate a pipeline of qualified opportunities and close new business in these accounts and directly hand off to Sales Manager.

Manage the Business Development and Sales Pursuit activities within his/her region from "Identify" through to "Close."

Further development of up-selling services and promoting services offered to region.

Ensure that organizational goods or services consistently meet customer needs.

Conduct market research to identify industry trends, new opportunities, and competitor activity.

Provide summary reports to help guide business development strategy.

Communicate information concerning collections, estimated revenues of contracts, new contracts, pending contracts, and overall activity with aerospace and construction customer accounts.

Schedule and prepare materials for client meetings, trade shows, or site visits.

Plan, organize, and participate in industry social events to promote company within community.

Coordinate marketing to update company brochures, presentations, and digital content.

Support social media or promotional campaigns tied to business development goals.

Maintain prospect log within SharePoint and other Business Development processes.

Coordinate team activities for timely responses, submittals, presentations and proposals.

Establishes individual goals, objectives, strategies, and budget requirements for developing new business and review with Sales Manager.

Serves as the client advocates during the completion of projects to enable proper team alignment and assist advancing from concept development through design and construction phases.

Plan and schedule all travel necessary for business development needs.

Other duties as assigned by Sales Manager.

Qualifications

A minimum of 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales within the designated territory.

HS Diploma

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business development a plus

Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities.

Be proactive, organized and handle work under stressful and uncertain environments.

Able to work within a matrix organization and to manage internal resources in support of customer activities such as Proposals, Negotiations, Sales/Product/Technical/Application Presentations, Events/Trade Shows, After Market Support etc.
