Sales Center Associate (Transportation)
Scherer Bros. Lumber Co is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Center Associate to join our team in Hopkins, MN. In this role, you will play a vital part in assisting customers with their building material needs, from providing expert advice to processing orders.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service: Greet customers, answer inquiries, and provide guidance on product selection.
Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on building materials and industry trends to offer informed recommendations.
Order Processing: Efficiently process customer orders, including entering information into our computer system and coordinating with vendors and delivery teams.
Estimating: Utilize blueprints to accurately calculate material quantities and provide cost estimates.
Showroom Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized showroom, ensuring products are well-displayed and information is up-to-date.
Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute innovative ideas.
Safety: Prioritize safety by following guidelines and reporting any hazards or concerns.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
2-5 years of experience in the building materials industry or a related field
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite
A passion for helping customers and a positive attitude
