Allstate Insurance Company has an opportunity for an experienced licensed Sales Leader to support our market in Syracuse and Albany, NY and surrounding areas. The Sales Market Leader (SML) supports Allstate Exclusive Agents to consult for their business success. While this is a field-based opportunity, the selected incumbent would need to reside in or near the market as they will conduct field travel. The SML supports the growth and success of the distribution channel and its new agency owners and/or existing exclusive agents through effective consultations, acquisition and retention process adoption, business planning and deployment/staffing strategies. This role involves coaching and engaging agency owners to influence behavior changes.
Responsibilities
Own the market to achieve Allstate business objectives, including strategic, long-term profitable growth and increased market share.
Create and track performance to a strategic business plan for the market.
Consult with Exclusive Agencies (EAs) to develop strategic business plans, advise on agency operations, identify issues, and recommend plans for resolution; facilitate access to Allstate resources as requested.
Communicate Allstate messages to EAs, tailor messages to the agency’s business model, and assist EAs and EFSs to create action plans to adjust operations accordingly.
Prospect for, assess, and recruit agency candidates in accordance with the market deployment strategy.
Travel to agencies to consult on-site and virtually to achieve goals.
Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
5 or more years of related experience

Organizational and process management skills
Job Qualifications 5+ years of sales leadership preferred
Property & Casualty/Financial Services experience preferred
4-year college degree preferred
Proven record for obtaining business results through development of effective internal relationships preferred
Strong business knowledge & the ability to develop effective internal relationships across business functions preferred
Ability to assess market conditions, trends & indicators required
Understand pricing, claims, local market planning, sales trend analysis, marketing data, & financial analysis required
Knowledge of Allstate policies & procedures preferred
Licenses to obtain: P&C, Life/Health, & Series 6, 63, or 26 (within 90-day timeframe)
Designated Supervisory Principal experience is a plus
Ability to travel for business needs required
Education & Experience (in lieu)
In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Compensation
Target Total Compensation: $122,830 – $184,240 per year (Base Pay + Performance-Based Incentives). Incentives are based on productivity and are not guaranteed. Payments are governed by the terms of the applicable sales bonus plan, which is subject to change at Allstate’s discretion.
Compensation offered for this role is $85,970.00 - $118,212.50 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
