Urban Ecospaces is a mission-driven real estate development and construction firm specializing in affordable housing, resilient infrastructure, and sustainable communities throughout New York City. We’re looking for a dependable and organized Field Coordinator to join our Staten Island project team.
Position Overview The Field Coordinator supports daily operations at an active construction site. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals seeking experience in construction management, safety, and field operations. You will work under the direction of the Site Superintendent to help ensure the job site is safe, efficient, and well-coordinated.
Location & Travel Requirements This position is primarily based at multiple active project sites in Staten Island, NY, with additional assignments in other New York City boroughs and surrounding counties. Candidates must be willing and able to travel between project sites as needed. A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
Key Responsibilities
Sign in/out all subcontractors, workers, and visitors
Maintain accurate daily manpower and visitor logs
Conduct and document daily safety walks using site checklists
Monitor for compliance with PPE and site safety protocols
Report any unsafe conditions or incidents immediately
Assist with daily field reports, including photos and site notes
Track weather, deliveries, and general progress
Help coordinate material deliveries and storage
Maintain site cleanliness and assist with logistics
Relay information between site personnel and subcontractors
Required Qualifications
Interest in construction, engineering, or safety management
OSHA 30 Construction Certification or NYC SST 40-Hour Card
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong organizational and communication skills
Familiarity with smartphones/tablets and basic apps (e.g., PDF viewer, email); must be comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and Microsoft Word
Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn
Must have a valid Driver’s License
