What You Can Expect In This Role Responsible for the management, training, coaching and development of Wholesaling team within Sammons Independent Annuity Group. Responsible for execution and oversight of sales activities including extensive travel; working with wholesalers as they are meeting with agents in various forums.

What You'll Do In This Role

Develop and implement the strategy around product, marketing, and distribution partnerships through collaboration with leadership team.

Plan, allocate and monitor work and make decisions regarding employment, performance appraisals, training, and related personnel actions for wholesale team.

Responsible for setting goals for all direct reports, coaching for performance, and collaborating with other business unit sales managers to coach and create development plans and goals for sales teams.

Provide training, coaching, and development through weekly 1:1 calls, in-field visits, sales meetings and call coaching.

Hire and on‑board new wholesalers as necessary.

Actively and consistently engage external distribution partners and sales leadership to solicit feedback on team performance and identify additional opportunities for collaboration and partnership in growing sales.

Strategize with Marketing Communications to develop impactful promotional and educational campaigns for distribution partners.

Participate in and create presentations for virtual conference training sessions as assigned. Coach and assist wholesalers in developing sales tools and resources.

Participate in and create presentations as needed and coach/assist wholesaling team in development related to onboarding as needed.

Represent company at industry functions and training meetings by speaking to groups and effectively promoting annuity products. Professionally deliver training presentations to groups of annuity producers.

Build solid and enduring professional relationships with assigned account relationships to influence and drive sustainable sales.

Ensure wholesalers are working in conjunction with sales leadership, coworkers, and other external partners to promote annuity products.

Responsible for taking corrective action to remedy sales practices that are detrimental to the client or the Company.

Prepare detailed and time‑sensitive reports which reflect the progress made toward the accomplishment of the objectives by measuring the regional activity and sales.

Collaboratively work with other leaders within Sammons Financial Group (SFG) Member Companies to achieve goals and facilitate communication between departments.

Actively participate in Sales and Marketing meetings including presentations to senior leadership and Regional Distribution Partners.

Promote a high‑performing, highly motivated, productive team environment.

Drive and reinforce commitment to internal controls processes such as those under Model Audit Rule and Record Information Management.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or related field Preferred

Minimum 10 years' Fixed Annuity Sales and Marketing experience Preferred

Knowledge of fixed annuity products Required

Knowledge of accounting and budgeting processes Preferred

Strong people and project management skills

Ability to effectively manage and motivate staff

Proven interpersonal skills to allow for collaborative work effort and accomplishment of organizational priorities in a team environment

Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing plans

Fixed annuity distribution experience

Ability interact with all levels of internal and external resources, vendors as well as other departments

Excellent communication skills-both oral and written

Strong problem solving abilities

Professional maturity to effectively interface with Senior Management

Strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines

Strategy development experience

Strong public speaking skills

Life Insurance license Preferred

If working in the MNL channel, Series License-6 or ability to obtain within 120 Days Required

Must be able to travel a minimum of 50% of the time

$150K BASE + SALES INCENTIVE
