Apparel Sales Manager - Wholesale Purpose The Wholesale Sales Manager for our apparel line carries out our wholesale sales strategy, manages key account and sales agency relationships, and builds the systems that support successful selling. Working with the Sales Director, this role is responsible for making apparel wholesale run effectively and profitably.

Classification FLSA: Exempt

Compensation: 85k-110k/yr

Schedule: Weekend work is occasionally required. This position will travel frequently throughout the year (up to 50% of the time) for trade shows, sales events, and key account meetings.

Apparel Wholesale Sales Management

Work with Sales Director and Executive team to carry out B2B apparel sales strategy, including distribution approach, account segmentation, key account identification, and tradeshow presence

Develop and refine key messages and product focus for each target segment

Plan and execute markdown cycles and outlet strategy for past seasons

Set and track sales targets for apparel accounts by rep group and by season in collaboration with Sales Director

Work with Snow Peak Headquarters in Japan to determine product assortment and key styles for focused selling

Build and maintain systems to coordinate the tools and materials sales reps need to sell effectively, from sample distribution to order management platforms

Attend trade shows and key account line showings to support order generation

Own apparel forecasting process, creating forecasts based on product and account strategies and meeting deadlines set by Snow Peak Headquarters in Japan

Assign and manage territories with Sales Director and monitor performance against targets

Own relationships with key accounts and sales agencies, setting direction, targets, and key actions

Plan and run key account meetings, including assortment planning and identifying growth opportunities

Design and deliver onboarding and training programs so sales agencies can sell effectively

Develop and implement sales enablement initiatives to improve apparel sales organization effectiveness and monitor results

Maintain regular contact with reps and accounts, serving as point of escalation when issues need resolution

Manage changes in rep group structure, including onboarding when reps join or transition

Serve as primary contact for key accounts within territories

Coordinate marketing materials and assets to support campaigns

Maintain regular contact and make periodic market visits with strategic customers and distribution partners

Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products

Sell products, new items, and promotions to distribution partners and strategic customers

Respond to customer needs and solve problems quickly, working with internal teams as needed

Track sales performance and develop strategies to improve category results

Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual category analysis, including market share development, retail space growth, and brand activities

Work with ID&P on product decisions and forecasting

Work with Dealer Experience team to support delivery operations

Contribute to planning and carrying out department goals with the leadership team

Review and improve business processes to increase profitability and results

Create and present reports to key stakeholders

Share feedback and updates to keep work aligned across departments

Work with Sales Director to manage department budget and profitability

Handle other related duties and projects as assigned

Requirements Education/Certifications Bachelor's degree is preferred

Experience 6+ years of experience in B2B or wholesale sales roles, including 2-3 years of that time working on sales operations or sales support

Skills

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

Knowledge of relevant compliance laws and regulations

Understanding of project management fundamentals

Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze data and create reports

Strong sales, customer service, and negotiation skills

Understanding of business financials and how to drive profitability

Abilities

Physical Effort
