The opportunity The Capital Markets team helps clients solve their most challenging strategic problems: modernizing infrastructure, managing regulatory change, defining digital client strategy, enhancing client service experience, and adjusting long-term business mix. Our teams work across front, middle and back offices as well as the industry level to drive performance improvement across sell-side, buy-side and market infrastructure participants in capital markets.
Responsibilities
Manage client engagements, work with high-performing teams to analyze, evaluate and enhance clients’ capital markets businesses.
Interface with clients at all levels to solve challenging questions and support the Capital Markets practice in developing new offerings and thought leadership.
Contribute to market-facing capabilities and services and support to take offerings to market.
Qualifications and experience You will spend most of your time on client delivery across a range of projects with a keen understanding of capital markets, front/middle/back office tools, and innovation, digital strategy, and efficiency improvement. You should be a critical thinker with strong analytical and communication skills.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business with 5+ years of relevant experience at a financial services company or as an advisor to a financial services organization; or a MBA with 3+ years of relevant experience.
A minimum of 2 recent years of experience in capital markets.
Proven experience in managing small, midsize and large businesses, functions or projects in the capital markets sector.
Knowledge of financial products including derivatives, equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, and commodities.
Knowledge of industries such as investment banking, broker-dealers, custody, fund administration and investment management.
Experience in a strategy-focused role across the front, middle or back office driving change and transformation.
Willingness to travel; may be international and on-site with clients.
Digital assets and related capabilities
Expertise in Digital Assets : Knowledge of digital assets, including cryptocurrencies, tokenization, and blockchain technology, and their implications for capital markets.
Regulatory Compliance : Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing digital assets, including AML/KYC, and ability to ensure compliance.
Market Analysis : Ability to analyze market trends in digital assets to inform investment strategies and risk management.
Technology Integration : Experience integrating digital asset solutions with existing capital markets infrastructure.
Client Advisory : Provide expert advice on digital asset investment opportunities, risk assessment, and portfolio diversification.
Collaboration with Tech Teams : Work with technology teams to develop and implement innovative digital asset products and services.
Risk Management : Assess and manage risks including market volatility and cybersecurity.
Continuous Learning : Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in digital assets.
Preferred and additional qualifications Ideally, you’ll also have:
Experience in front office and sales strategy or technology and operations strategy roles with insights into inefficiencies and performance improvements.
Experience defining and delivering digital and data-led transformations and a passion for innovation.
Ability to cultivate mid- to senior-level client relationships, up to C-suite level.
Understanding of client needs and ability to develop new service offerings, including business strategy, operations, process framework guidelines, target operating models and business process improvements.
Expertise in policies, governance, and operations in areas such as trade life cycle, front-office structure, broker-dealer operations, clearance and settlement, client onboarding, treasury operations, collateral management, and regulatory regimes.
