We are seeking a
Nutrition Specialist
who brings joy, creativity, and professionalism to our kitchen. This role is essential in shaping healthy habits for young learners by preparing nutritious, appealing meals and modeling excellent food safety and sanitation practices. You’ll also partner with staff and families to promote age‑appropriate feeding practices and ensure our program meets all accredited nutrition standards.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks daily following all health, safety, and sanitation standards
Develop and maintain seasonal menus aligned with Federal Food Program guidelines
Order food and supplies within the allotted budget
Maintain accurate and permanent records for the Federal Food Program, including menu updates, recipes, and quantities
Keep all kitchen areas, appliances, and equipment clean and sanitized
Ensure all food is properly labeled and stored according to DCF and Federal Food Program requirements
Qualifications High school diploma or GED
Completion of 45 hours of DCF training (or willingness to complete within 90 days of hire)
Minimum of 1 year of experience in the food service industry
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and passion for serving children and families
