AE Design
As an AutoCAD/Revit/BIM Technician, you will assist the designers and engineers to produce design and construction documents (CDs) for a wide variety of project types. Your passion for accuracy and timeliness will be expressed in the work you do. Your knowledge and expertise in Autodesk will allow you to improve our processes and elevate the delivery of our services. Within our collaborative electrical, lighting, and technology design firm you will engage with designers and engineers to work on creative, exciting, high-design projects. Additionally, you will assist our BIM Team in the maintenance and development of the firm's drafting and modeling standards, continually improving the process. We are a highly collaborative, open office environment in downtown Denver.
What You Bring to the Table
5-10 Years of experience with AutoCAD and REVIT
Ability to:
Perform Drawing and Model setups and background updates
Perform Graphic/Drafting/Model reviews to verify compliance with company standards
Produce 2D drawings from red-line guidance provided by the design staff
Produce 3D models with direction from the design staff
Perform BIM coordination modeling and clash detection resolution using Autodesk Navisworks and/or other coordination tools
Complete drawings on time to meet project schedules
Train and educate new and current staff on drafting best practices
Maintain, improve, and develop standards for CAD and Revit tools, including family editing and creation
Maintain, improve, and develop drawing details and standards
Perform other tasks/projects as requested by the BIM Team
A high level of understanding of the documentation process to produce CDs through the various stages of design
A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Dependable. Self-motivated and self-directed
Capable of managing your time and activities for optimum productivity
Capable of communicating complex technical skills

Working as a member of project teams to set up CAD and Revit projects and develop building construction documents
Meeting with design teams to collaborate on the best process to develop the construction documents while delivering the project on time
Assisting designers and engineers to resolve challenges to graphically represent the pertinent information on the drawings
Resolving issues when updating backgrounds received from our clients
You will be active on several projects at various stages throughout the day
Supporting the completion of full sets of construction documents for review
Collaborating with our BIM Team to understand and develop current CAD and Revit standards
Presenting opportunities to improve the process in which drawings are produced
