14005 – AWS/GCP Cloud Architect (onsite) – Austin, TX Start Date: ASAP

Type: Temporary Project

Estimated Duration: 6 months with possible extensions

Work Setting: Hybrid. 3 days remote with 2 days (Mon & Wed) required onsite at the location listed above.

Required Experience

Experience architecting enterprise application solutions across on-premises and cloud infrastructure (8+ years)

Experience architecting solutions in one or more of the cloud platforms: GCP, and AWS (8+ years)

Experience developing cloud native application architectures across leading cloud platforms (8+ years)

Experience architecting solutions that utilize fit‑for‑purpose service models such as IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS (8+ years)

Experience in all phases of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning solutions using AWS or Google technologies (8+ years)

Preferred Experience

Experience with virtual networks, VPNs, DNS, load balancers, and firewalls (8+ years)

Experience with cloud security frameworks, encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and compliance standards like GDPR, HIPAA, etc. (8+ years)

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation (8+ years)

Experience with languages such as Python, Java, C#, and scripting languages for automation (8+ years)

Experience with API design, development, and management, including RESTful and SOAP APIs (8+ years)

Experience with microservices, serverless architectures, and cloud‑native application development (8+ years)

Experience analyzing and optimizing cloud costs while maintaining performance and reliability (8+ years)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate cloud strategies and solutions to stakeholders (8+ years)

Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams, including developers, administrators, and business leaders (8+ years)

Experience in monitoring and analyzing system performance to ensure optimal cloud operations (8+ years)

Experience with AWS technologies like Bedrock, SageMaker, Redshift, EC2, Data Pipeline, Kinesis and EMR (6+ years)

Experience with AI services like Transcribe etc. or Google technologies like Vertex AI platform, Agent Builder, and other toolset (6+ years)

Cloud Certification e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Google Professional Cloud Architect

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure cloud application and infrastructure architectures aligned with business requirements.

Assess existing environments, define cloud migration strategies, and execute migrations ensuring data integrity and system functionality.

Ensure cloud solutions meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security best practices across data, applications, and infrastructure.

Monitor cloud performance and implement improvements to enhance scalability, reliability, and overall system efficiency.

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions and provide guidance to IT teams on cloud best practices.

Identify opportunities for innovation, stay current with emerging cloud technologies, and evolve architecture accordingly.

Support AI/ML/Deep Learning and generative AI initiatives by mapping AWS, Azure, and Google services and producing reference architectures and technical insights.
