Make a Difference Behind the Mission

We are looking for talented Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists to join the Radiology Imaging Service at the San Francisco VA Medical Center. You’ll play a critical role in supporting our Veteran patients, ensuring high-quality imaging services while maintaining patient safety, comfort, and confidence. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic healthcare environments and want to contribute meaningfully to Veteran care.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform diagnostic radiology procedures including fluoroscopy, OR, and portable imaging.
  • Operate ionizing radiation equipment safely and accurately, adhering to patient safety and radiation protocols.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic imaging.
  • Provide exceptional patient care: explain procedures, prepare patients, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Maintain equipment, supplies, and documentation in compliance with VA policies and infection control standards.
  • Participate in quality assurance, continuing education, and mandatory VA trainings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
  • Prior experience in hospital or clinical imaging settings – VA hospital experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Must meet VA credentialing, privileging, and mandatory training requirements (BLS, HIPAA, MRI safety, etc.).
