What you’ll get to do:
- Ownership of Grassroots Events for the Flagship location in San Diego, CA
- Research your territory to constantly have your finger on the pulse of all fitness groups, teams and events
- Contact new potential partners and existing partners to build strong relationships and professionally represent Road Runner Sports in the community
- Seek partnership opportunities and negotiate contracts while managing your sponsorship budget
- Execute your partnership deliverables and hold your partners accountable to doing the same
- Plan and communicate event details between partners and store managers to set them up for successful events
- Maintain weekly reporting of your results by partnership and by store
- Attend weekly meetings to discuss successes, opportunitiesand market trends
- Drive to exceed event and revenue goals for stores in your territory
- Support event day logisticsin partnership with the store team
- Partner with other internal departments for in-store Brands Activations
- Other tasks may be assigned from time to time
What you bring to the table
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in goal-driven sales environment
- Passionate about the running/walking/fitness community, existing network of contacts preferred but notrequired
- Ability toworka flexible schedule attending 75% of events, work mornings, nights, and some weekendsasneeded
- Willingness to travel occasionally and support larger events in your territory
- Maintainpersonal accountabilityforcreatingand providingregular reports on your upcoming events and progress to your Grassroots Marketing team and your managers
- Bring a competitive spirit and use your naturalnetworking skills to build relationships and lead grassroots campaigns for our retail stores
- Self-drivenon executing sales plans and aTeam player who can workwell partneringwith your store managers, sales associates, and your Grassroots Marketing team
