Requirements

Must have at least 6 years of experience in civil litigation, with the ability to handle cases from start to finish. Strong motion practice skills required. Trial experience and knowledge of employment law are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage civil litigation cases from start to resolution, including trial preparation and proceedings
  • Develop litigation strategies and settlement approaches in collaboration with firm leadership
  • Draft and argue motions, briefs, and other legal documents
  • Conduct discovery, including depositions and evidence review
  • Prepare clients and witnesses, and represent them in hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Negotiate settlements and ensure terms are executed
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and handle case management effectively

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of civil litigation experience
  • Demonstrated motion practice skills
  • Ability to handle cases through trial with oversight
  • Excellent writing, organization, and client communication abilities
  • Admission in Washington State, or eligibility for prompt licensure
  • Prior trial experience and knowledge of employment law are beneficial
