Director, Season Sales

The Chicago Bulls are seeking an accomplished and driven sales leader to oversee our Season Sales team. Reporting to the Executive Director of Ticket Sales, the Director of Season Sales will be responsible for shaping and executing the strategic vision for season ticket growth, with a particular focus on partial plan initiatives. This individual will manage a team of Account Executives, foster cross-departmental collaboration, and represent the Bulls in both internal and external settings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and motivate Account Executives to consistently exceed daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs while achieving both individual and organizational revenue goals.
  • Partner with the Executive Director of Ticket Sales and Vice President of Ticketing on recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and professional development initiatives to strengthen the sales organization.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement sales strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and maximizing new business revenue opportunities.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Analytics teams on lead generation, campaign development (with an emphasis on partial plan sales), pipeline management, and performance reporting.
  • Oversee and support the execution of pre-game, in-game, and post-game events designed to drive revenue and enhance client engagement.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and development through structured sales training, bi-weekly one-on-ones, and annual performance reviews.
  • Support the broader ticketing department by contributing to training and development for Inside Sales, Group Sales, and Service teams.
  • Mentor and inspire Inside Sales Representatives, serving as a role model and resource for professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience with a 3-year minimum of full-time sales experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing direct reports.
  • At least 3 years of high-volume sales experience, preferably in sports or entertainment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and ticketing software; knowledge of the Archtics Ticketing System strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales performance and executing sales strategies.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence prospective clients.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Creative, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and game days.

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $115,000 - $125,000 annually plus a structured bonus and is commission eligible. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

The Chicago Bulls offer workplace flexibility. Full-time remote work is not an option for this role and interested applicants should be currently located in or prepared to move to the Chicagoland area. This role will require a flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
