Position Overview
Central Farm Service (CFS) is looking for an Equipment Operations Specialist to assist with agronomy operations, maintain equipment, fulfill chemical, seed, and fertilizer orders, and promote teamwork and customer relations within a warehouse environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Know products in the warehouse, use the system for managing products, and pull orders.
Maintain warehouse equipment.
Fill dry fertilizer tower.
Understand fertilizer load‑out procedures.
Operate pallet jack and forklift efficiently.
Treat seed according to customer specifications.
Efficiently operate the anhydrous delivery system, including filling and weighing anhydrous nurse tanks.
Work in other departments as needed (grain, feed, energy).
Complete all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
Promote teamwork by ensuring customers, vendors, and employees are responded to in a professional and courteous manner.
Practice good housekeeping procedures to comply with company and OSHA policies.
Know and follow all company safety policies and procedures; perform work safely while observing all traffic laws and OSHA regulations.
Represent yourself and CFS professionally at all times in action and appearance.
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor or management.
Requirements
Maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
Maintain required Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certification.
Acceptable driving record.
Strong multi‑tasking and organizational skills.
Working Environment Employee will be exposed to conditions inside a warehouse type building and may be exposed to external elements and temperature extremes. Ability to work extended hours is required.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee must lift and carry up to 50 pounds, use both arms and legs fully, and have good finger dexterity.
