Contract Administrator III
Job Summary
We are seeking a Contract Administrator III to independently manage complex contract administration, procurement, and change management activities on large-scale projects. This role partners closely with Project Management leadership to ensure projects are delivered in full compliance with contractual obligations and applicable organizational, City, State, and Federal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead procurement planning and pre-award activities, including development of schedules and coordination of required approvals
Oversee and participate in pre-bid and pre-proposal meetings
Develop, review, and finalize RFP/RFB documents, addenda, and procurement packages
Prepare and review award recommendations, reports, and supporting documentation
Lead contract conformance, execution, and administration activities
Provide expert interpretation of contract terms and conditions
Monitor contract compliance across scope, schedule, cost, and regulatory requirements
Lead resolution of complex contract issues, disputes, and change actions
Oversee preparation, review, routing, and tracking of change documents
Ensure changes are properly evaluated for cost, schedule, and contractual impact
Coordinate with scheduling teams to assess time impacts of proposed changes
Review and approve contractor invoices for contractual compliance
Lead contract closeout activities, including audits, final payments, and documentation
Develop and present periodic status and change reports to management and stakeholders
Support continuous improvement of contract administration and change management processes
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior contract and project controls staff
Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Skills and Tools
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
Experience with large-scale construction or contract management systems such as Primavera, Prolog, or similar platforms
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field, with training in procurement, contract administration, construction, and commercial law
Minimum of
10 years
of experience in commercial and/or government contract administration
Proven ability to independently manage complex contracts on large projects
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, executives, contractors, and external stakeholders
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Experience with SBE, DBE, or MWBE program coordination preferred
