Overview The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the company to patients as part of their healthcare routine or for important health insights. The PSR II collects high-quality blood specimens, prepares samples for laboratory testing, and follows established practices and procedures. This role requires direct patient interaction while maintaining professionalism, trust, and confidentiality. Assignments may include doctor's offices, patient service centers, or other locations based on business needs.

Responsibilities

Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.

Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures.

Verify patient demographic information, initials, and signatures post-venipuncture to ensure correct specimen labeling.

Maintain required records and documentation.

Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Requirements

Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime.

Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and sound judgment.

Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Ability to travel and work across multiple locations with minimal notice.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.

Strong customer focus with clear and professional communication skills.

Commitment to company policies, dress code, safety, and compliance standards.

Experience

Three years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Minimum of two years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.

Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.

Keyboard and data entry experience required.

Qualifications and Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred.
