Mechanical Engineer – Senior – Contract to Hire
Actalent is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Marlboro, NJ team. This role is a contract‑to‑hire position focused on product development, design, and manufacturing support.
Job Responsibilities
Work with sales and manufacturing teams to develop customer solutions and ensure manufacturability.
Conduct Finite Element Analysis and calculations to validate design robustness.
Participate in peer reviews to ensure high‑quality outputs.
Engineer and detail designs using SolidWorks software, manage documentation with PDM, and define production processes with ERP software.
Support manufacturing by troubleshooting production issues and initiating continuous improvements and corrective actions.
Contribute to expanding the engineering knowledge base and aid in team growth by participating in training sessions and mentoring less experienced personnel.
Required Qualifications
Proficiency in SolidWorks design with over 8 years of experience.
Experience in Finite Element Analysis, preferably using SolidWorks Simulation.
Knowledge of metal fabrication and metal manufacturing processes such as welding, machining, and heat treatment.
Experience in product development engineering.
Comfortable using PTC Mathcad and Microsoft Excel.
Compensation & Benefits The pay range for this position is $47.00 – $60.00 /hr. Benefits for this temporary role may include:
