Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Estimating – Job Duties You will perform work primarily from the office in Roseville, California with occasional visit to commercial electrical projects throughout Californiaplan for 3 or 4 day trips a month to job sites).
Perform detailed electrical quantity takeoffs, including counting fixtures, devices, gear, conduit, wire, and related materials
Review and interpret commercial electrical drawings, specifications, and scope documents
Strategize electrical installations by visualizing field execution and constructability
Support commercial electrical estimates from initial takeoff through bid preparation
Work on commercial electrical projects with job sizes of $1M and larger
Enter takeoff data and pricing into EBM estimating software
Assist with material counts, labor considerations, and scope breakdowns
Collaborate with estimators to refine quantities, assumptions, and job strategy
Learn estimating best practices with a clear path toward full commercial electrical estimating
Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Estimating – You Have (Required Skills, Experience & Team Fit)
Prior experience working on commercial electrical projects
Prior experience performing electrical quantity surveying or takeoffs
Prior experience reading and interpreting commercial electrical plans and specificationsPrior experience counting fixtures, lighting, devices, and electrical systems
Field experience in electrical installation (tilt‑up acceptable, electrical field exposure preferred)
You are highly organized, have a strategic mindset and strong relationship building skills with both clients and suppliers
Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Estimating – You Might Have (Desired, Not Required) You might have prior experience with:
Electrical projects in data centers, power plants or hospitals
Working as an electrical apprentice
Exposure to large‑scale commercial or industrial electrical projects (ideally large projects that are $1 million and larger in size)
EMB estimating software
Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Estimating – Benefits for You Your compensation will be a base salary of $85,000 to $95,000.
You will work 100% on site in Roseville, California with occasional day trips to visit job sites throughout California (Company car available for site visits). You will be provided with Company sponsored medical insurance, paid holidays, paid time off and training and development support.
You will gain hands‑on training, mentorship, and exposure to complex commercial electrical estimating using EBM software.
Compensation $85,000–$95,000 per year.
