The
Financial Analyst
will be responsible for analyzing financial data related to property management operations. The successful candidate will work closely with the property management team to provide financial insights and recommendations to improve the financial performance of the properties. Top Excel skills, a must, and knowledge in Macros & Pivot tables needed. This position will report to the CFO and will need to interface with Operations and Accounting Departments.
Responsibilities
This multifaceted role requires various forms of economic analysis, including underwriting cash flows from income properties, reading, and analyzing commercial leases, loan packages and other market research.
Prepare financial reports and presentations for management
Underwrite and evaluate the financial performances and trends of assets to prepare valuation analyses
Perform extensive research, including but not limited to, reviewing and analyzing financial reports, studying comparable properties, collect information on the immediate area (demographics) and overall market
Monitor and analyze actual financial results against budget and forecastAssist in the preparation of financial models and business cases
Evaluates capital expenditures and depreciation.
Creates financial models bases on analyses to support organizational decision making.
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis
Experience in property management or real estate industry preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
