Delta Industries is seeking a Ready Mix Plant Manager/Operator to lead our concrete plant in Hernando, MS.
Responsibilities
Attend monthly safety meetings and enforce safety practices.
Produce high‑quality concrete and oversee on‑time delivery.
Batch concrete using integrated computer systems and maintain accurate mix design.
Ensure plant reliability through preventive maintenance procedures.
Assess material quality, perform daily cook‑off tests to verify moisture content, and achieve consistent slump.
Accountable for delivery personnel payroll hours and yard operations.
Emphasize plant speed and maintain equipment functionality via daily checklist reviews.
Perform daily vehicle inspections for delivery professionals.
Work 10‑12 hour shifts, 7 days a week, with overtime as needed.
Qualifications
Willing to learn and train in a team environment.
Prepared to work long, odd hours in a concrete manufacturing setting.
Basic computer skills and ability to use batching software.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Salary
– $60,000 – $75,000 per year, based on experience.
