Overview Merrick & Company is seeking a Structural BIM Designer to join our Energy, Manufacturing, and Bioprocessing Business Unit. This full‑time position is located in Greenwood Village CO, Tulsa OK, or Richmond VA, with a hybrid schedule supported. The hourly pay range is $40.00 – $52.00, varying with experience and skills.
What You'll Do
Support the design and retrofit of industrial facilities in oil, gas, power, manufacturing, and bioprocessing environments.
Develop "Scan to BIM" workflows, converting point‑cloud scan data into detailed 3D/2D models under the direction of professional engineers.
Generate AutoCAD drawings, AutoCAD/Revit/Advance Steel models, and production drawings for steel and concrete structures.
Coordinate with engineers to ensure accurate representation of design intent and constructability.
Review and incorporate redlines, notes, and markups; perform quality checks and support shop drawing reviews.
Use Navisworks for model review and clash detection; balance multiple deadlines and work efficiently.
Required Qualifications
Strong knowledge of structural steel and concrete detailing, industry standards, and common practices.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents and communicate effectively with engineers.
Proven track record of independent and collaborative project delivery.
Recent portfolio proof of technical proficiency in Revit/Advance Steel, Navisworks, and point‑cloud environments.
Experience with 3D modeling in AutoCAD and 2D building layouts and detailing.
Proficiency in Revu, Teams, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
