for a
Hotel Manager
to oversee the operations of a
prestigious positioned luxury property
located in
New York City . This role calls for a
hands-on, floor-oriented leader
with a strong sense of service, an exceptional eye for detail, and the ability to create a warm, highly personalized guest experience within a demanding, fast-paced luxury environment. Role Overview The Hotel Manager will be accountable for the
day-to-day leadership of the property , ensuring operational excellence across all departments while fostering a strong service culture driven by presence, empowerment, and high standards. This is a
visible leadership role , requiring constant engagement with guests, teams, and operational realities. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day leadership across all operational departments, ensuring seamless coordination and consistent service delivery. Act as a cultural role model, setting the tone for excellence, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and management teams, with a strong focus on performance, accountability, and engagement. Ensure exceptional guest recognition, including VIP handling and proactive service recovery. Oversee operational budgets, cost control, payroll monitoring, and financial performance in line with agreed objectives. Anticipate business needs through detailed forecasting, planning, and data-driven decision-making. Partner closely with internal stakeholders to implement training initiatives and support talent development. Actively participate in recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning for key operational roles. Maintain full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health, safety, and operational requirements. Serve as Manager on Duty when required and act as Deputy for safety and compliance matters. Ensure clear internal communication through daily briefings and structured operational meetings. Profile Sought Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management or a related discipline. Minimum
8 years of progressive experience
in luxury or ultra-luxury hospitality operations. Proven experience in senior operational roles such as Assistant General Manager, Hotel Manager, EAM or experienced Director of Food Strong exposure to
Food & Beverage operations
within a high-end environment. Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and retain high-performing teams. Solid financial literacy, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L oversight. In-depth understanding of
New York City hospitality standards and regulations . Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural ease in guest-facing situations. Calm, resilient, and solution-oriented, with the ability to thrive under pressure. Highly organized, detail-driven, and comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Proficiency with hotel systems; experience with Opera and Micros is a plus. Fast-paced, high-expectation luxury setting. Schedule flexibility required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physically present, operationally involved role with significant time spent on the floor.
