Job Description:
Senior Technical Designer
for Women’s Casual Intimates & Shapewear Apparel required near Manhattan, NY.
Responsibilities
Individual contributor position responsible for executing the technical design process from development to final fit.
Analyze and evaluate garments to develop correct fit specifications.
Ensure products are developed consistent with fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities and cost specifications.
Develop technical specifications and communicate fit to vendors/factories for approvals and corrections.
Adjust with factories to ensure integrity of design approved prototypes while monitoring quality and targeted price.
Report to Technical Services Manager; direct Assistant or Associate Technical Designers.
Only individuals lawfully authorized to work in the designated country will be considered.
Position start dates and duration are estimates and may change based on business needs.
Qualifications
7+ years’ experience in technical design with intimates/apparel.
Experience participating in or owning fittings, writing fit comments and pattern corrections.
Centric training.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Adobe Illustrator, Flex PLM, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or equivalent experience.
