Overview
Graham Capital Management, L.P. is seeking a Portfolio Analyst/Junior Trader to join our Portfolio Management team. The analyst will sit on the trading floor, working alongside a PM in all aspects of trading and portfolio management. The ideal candidate possesses experience in trading, quantitative analysis, and fundamental research with significant exposure to fixed income and currency products. The candidate will be able to grow into an assistant PM role with time. Responsibilities
Assist Portfolio Manager with financial modeling and trade idea generation Monitor the portfolio and assist with risk management. When appropriate, collect data and perform quantitative analysis on the portfolio and markets more broadly Develop tools and analytics to assist in the portfolio management process Support research, trade execution, and automation Requirements
Bachelor\'s degree in a STEM-related field with demonstrated interest in global macro markets 3-4 years\' experience on a trading desk or strategy (buy-side and/or sell-side) Exposure to fixed income and currency products Proficient in Python and VBA, Bloomberg, and working with data in Microsoft Excel Coding and front-office financial modeling experience (yield curves and options) Strong problem solving and analytical skills Highly motivated and intellectually curious Exposure to trade execution platforms This role requires commuting into our New York City office Mondays through Fridays. Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary Range The anticipated salary range for this position is $125,000 to $150,000. The anticipated range is based on information as of the time this post was generated and does not include any discretionary bonus or benefits (see eligibility below). The applicable annual salary or hourly rate paid to a successful applicant will be determined based on multiple factors, including without limitation the nature and extent of prior experience, skills, and qualifications. This wage range may be modified in the future. In addition, the employee who fills this role will be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, as well as a wide array of benefit programs, such as medical and life insurance, 401(K) plans, and access to other healthcare programs. Notes : No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, benefits, or any other form of compensation that a particular employee may be eligible for remains in the Company\'s sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at Graham\'s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
