Overview

The Mortgage Loan Originator identifies members’ mortgage needs and recommends appropriate financial solutions according to Arkansas Federal Credit Union’s standards of excellence. The role requires completing mortgage loan applications face‑to‑face or via phone, evaluating applications from the Arkansas Federal website, and guiding borrowers from application to closing. Responsibilities

Meet with members face‑to‑face or communicate via phone or email to collect data and documentation. Develop marketing plans, connect with area real estate professionals, and pursue referral partners to locate potential borrowers. Evaluate financial and credit situations for applications and determine eligibility. Provide borrowers and realtors with pre‑qualification information to execute best possible negotiations. Prepare loan files for processing by gathering required documentation and information. Communicate with borrowers, realtors, and third parties to keep all parties informed and attend local closings at title offices. Work with branches to increase business in the community by participating in department and branch meetings. Maintain professional presentation while attending community and networking events. Develop working knowledge of credit union services, policies, procedures, and government regulations concerning mortgage lending. Contribute to team efforts and perform any other related duties as required or assigned. Qualifications

High school diploma or GED. Minimum 2 years related mortgage experience. EEO Statement
