Human Resources Generalist
Location: Onsite in Cleveland, OH
Pay Rate: $28-32/hour
Contract Type: Temporary to Hire
Kelly Services is partnering with a dynamic non-profit organization to find a Human Resources Generalist to join their team. The HR Generalist will support daily operations including employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, compliance, and HR recordkeeping. This role provides front-line HR support to employees and managers, ensuring policies and practices are applied consistently while supporting a positive organizational culture aligned with the organization’s mission. Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
Administer employee lifecycle processes, including recruitment, onboarding, performance documentation, and offboarding.
Coordinate employee benefits programs; assist with enrollments, changes, and vendor communications.
Maintain HRIS accuracy and employee records; generate reports as needed.
Support compliance with employment laws, union contract provisions, and museum policies.
Partner with managers to address employee relations issues at the early stages; elevate complex matters to HR leadership.
Assist with staff training logistics, professional development tracking, and DEI initiatives.
Contribute to HR projects such as policy updates, handbook revisions, or staff engagement surveys.
Support payroll administration with timely updates on new hires, terminations, and employee status changes.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
2–4 years of experience in Human Resources or related functions, preferably in non-profit.
Experience with ADP Workforce Now HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite required.
Knowledge of HR laws and best practices.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
