Overview The Inside Sales Consultant role sells solar energy products or services to consumers. The priority is to make a genuine human connection with potential customers with the intent to qualify and vet solar as a viable solution for their home and families. Main duties include handling inbound pre-qualified transfer leads through a dialer where they explore pricing, sale terms and provide custom solar proposals. They drive the solar project from point of sale to installation, using Sunrun's core values to drive meaningful impact with customers.
Responsibilities / The Impact
Use communication and sales skills to highlight the advantages of our products and services
Develop meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty
Follow-up with receptive transfer leads to further sales
Understand and demonstrate the product or service through screen shares
Guide customers electronically through the enrollment process
Prioritize tasks and responsibilities to deliver an outstanding customer experience and achieve monthly sales targets
Run and track customer account progress in a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool
Qualifications / How You Will Be Successful
Fluent in English (fluency in another language is a plus)
Basic digital literacy; experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM is a bonus
Previous sales experience is encouraged
Demonstrated passion for relationship building, customer service and continuous self‑improvement
Excel in a remote team setting, working effectively in an ever‑evolving environment
