We are looking for a

Sales Manager

to join our Rexel team in Omaha, NE. The Sales Manager is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in the assigned market. Leads and directs a sales team and provides leadership towards maximizing profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base and contributes to training and educational programs for clients and Sales personnel.

What You'll Do

Develop and implement the sales strategy for your area of focus; strategy should accommodate regional goals Lead the Outside Sales team toward achieving sales, customer development, product mix, and gross profit goals identified in the business plan Interface with customer purchasing, program management, planning, and technical functions to identify customer needs and develop new client relationships Hire, train, and develop salespeople to achieve the highest level of sales effectiveness and customer satisfaction Ensure sales personnel have the base level of product or technical expertise by implementing local training programs with internal sources, vendors and suppliers, or outside schools or training programs Meet with key clients, assist sales representatives with maintaining relationships, and negotiate and close deals Track and measure the success of promotional programs and product launches against sales objectives Prepare sales reports to show volume, potential sales, and areas for base expansion Deliver sales presentations with sales representatives and coordinate customer training Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products Serve as the liaison between the sales department and other departments to ensure flawless execution and customer satisfaction Educate sales personnel and customers about new and existing product offerings, including customer product training and proficiency with demo equipment Create and use market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, discounts, forecast demand, and evaluate the competition to maintain a competitive edge Utilize travel and entertainment expenditures to support the sales strategy within approved budgets Utilize digital tools for analysis/insights to measure sales performance and coach opportunities Lead external digital strategy around connected customers and eSales Lead supplier engagement initiatives with the team Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What You\'ll Need 5+ years sales experience 2+ years of relevant sales experience 2+ years of sales leadership preferred Maintenance experience with Industrial and Utility customers Demonstrated sales experience and operational exposure in electrical distribution or similar B2B industry Experience developing and implementing sales strategies Valid Driver's License 4 Year / Bachelor\'s Degree - Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Demonstrated track record of sales management achievement Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills Excellent at managing time, priorities, and expenses Ability to establish good relationships and credibility with customers; ability to collaborate at all levels Action oriented Customer focus Results driven Organizational agility Ability to build effective teams and develop direct reports and others Conflict management Business acumen Knowledge of Microsoft Office
