Outside Sales Account Manager – Airgas, Aurora, IL, Full‑time
Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is seeking an Outside Sales Account Manager in Aurora, IL. The role focuses on managing the sales process and driving profitable sales growth within an assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sales plans to service existing accounts, obtain new orders, and establish new accounts.
Qualify and pursue sales leads.
Build deep customer knowledge and develop consultative relationships.
Engage customers linking their priorities to Airgas’ value proposition.
Prepare sales proposals, quote pricing, establish credit terms, and estimate delivery dates.
Stay current with industry insights, product mixes, competition, and market intelligence.
Partner with internal resources to achieve growth objectives, maintaining clear communication.
Submit sales reports (daily, weekly, monthly, and annual) via SAP.
Review and manage customer Accounts Receivable balances to optimize working capital and reduce risk.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Proven success using a consultative sales approach.
Strong knowledge of customers’ businesses and market trends.
Excellent organizational, written, oral, and presentation skills.
Self‑starter, self‑motivated, and able to work independently with a sense of urgency.
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and minimum liability insurance.
Minimum 3 years of outside business‑to‑business sales experience with solution‑selling concepts and territory management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with industrial and specialty gases or industrial gas/welding supply sales.
Pay and Benefits:
Base salary 70,000–75,000 USD (based on experience) plus commission.
Monthly auto allowance.
