Outside Sales Representative – High-Growth Precast Infrastructure A market‑dominant precast manufacturer is hiring an Outside Sales professional to lead the launch of a newly developed dry utility product line. Backed by a $22 M manufacturing investment and a nationally scaled parent company, this role offers the rare opportunity to build a new vertical from the ground up – with early traction already secured and high executive visibility.

Base pay range $120,000.00/yr – $130,000.00/yr

The Opportunity The company is expanding beyond its traditional dominance in wet utilities and entering the dry utility space – producing precast boxes and infrastructure components for electrical, telecom, and cable applications. With faster lead times (1–2 weeks vs. industry average of 7–8 weeks), in‑state production, and a reputation for top‑tier service, the company is positioned to become a category leader. The role is designed to evolve into a leadership position as the segment scales nationally.

Key Responsibilities

Own full‑cycle B2B sales for dry utility precast products across Utah

Prospect and build new relationships with electrical contractors and utility specifiers

Actively manage quoting, project tracking, and delivery coordination

Collaborate with estimating, operations, and field teams to ensure product success

Develop trade show and marketing collateral as needed to penetrate the market

Influence product roadmap and expansion strategy based on customer feedback

Total Comp Target:

$144 K – $160 K+

Bonus Plan:

Company‑wide profit sharing (10–14% of base), uncapped commercial incentives tied to revenue, margin, and special projects, accelerators available

Vehicle Program:

$400/month allowance + mileage reimbursement

The Right Background Must‑Haves

5+ years in outside sales to electrical contractors or distributors

Strong existing relationships within the Utah market

Comfortable reading construction plans and identifying bid opportunities

High self‑sufficiency; strong customer service mindset

Nice‑to‑Haves

Experience with firms like WESCO, Graybar, or electrical contracting companies

Background in selling infrastructure or industrial products ($250 K+ project sizes)

Marketing aptitude – understands how to position new verticals

Thrives in fast‑paced, build‑as‑you‑go environments

Location & Travel

Preferred Location:

Salt Lake City (close to plant ops and leadership)

Territory:

Utah, with a focus on the Salt Lake to Orem corridor (98% of business)

Travel:

~70% field‑based, heavy in‑person interaction with crews and contractors
