Overview
Tor Publishing Group is seeking a highly motivated Digital Advertising Associate to support the planning, execution, and optimization of paid media campaigns across multiple platforms. This role is ideal for someone who is curious, creative, data-driven, and eager to experiment with new ad formats, targeting strategies, and reporting approaches. The Digital Advertising Associate will work closely with the Advertising and Promotions (AdPromo) team to support daily campaign operations, analyze results, develop audiences, and share insights that help guide marketing strategy for TPG’s large catalog of best-selling and award-winning fiction. This is a hands-on position and we are looking for candidates who are excited to learn, try new things, and continuously improve performance in a team-oriented and innovative publishing environment!
What You\'ll Do
Support the day-to-day management of digital ad campaigns across major self-serve ad platforms (e.g., Meta, Google, TikTok, Amazon Ads, Reddit). Assist in the launching, monitoring, and optimizing of campaigns to ensure spend pacing, ROAS goals, and KPI targets are met. Design and run A/B tests to uncover new opportunities for creative, audience, and bidding strategies. Help Assoc. Director of Data Intelligence build audience segments for targeting, remarketing, and upper-funnel growth initiatives. Analyze campaign performance data and prepare reports, dashboards, and visualizations for internal stakeholders. Collaborate with creative teams to provide clear direction and feedback on ad assets. Stay current with platform trends, new tools, and best practices; proactively propose tests and new ideas.
What You\'ll Bring
1+ years of experience managing digital advertising or paid media campaigns (internships included). Hands-on experience with at least one major self-serve ad platform (e.g., Meta Ads Manager). Strong analytical skills and comfort working with performance data. Experience building reports or visualizations (Google Looker Studio, Excel, Sheets, etc.). Demonstrated creativity and willingness to test new approaches independently. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously. Strong communication skills, including ability to present insights to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
Ideal Experience
Familiarity with book publishing, media, or entertainment marketing. Knowledge of audience development, first-party data use, and remarketing strategies. Experience with experimentation frameworks (A/B testing, incrementality, creative testing). Basic knowledge of HTML, UTM tagging, or tracking implementation. Experience collaborating with creative teams or providing feedback on ad assets. Strong interest in science fiction, fantasy, or genre publishing. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience.
Salary: $60k-$65k per year.
