Manager, Trade Marketing
– Anheuser‑Busch
Salary $104,800 - $124,450, bonus eligible
Location Marysville, OH
Company Anheuser‑Busch, portfolio includes Michelob ULTRA, Cutwater Spirits, Budweiser, Kona Brewing Co., Stella Artois, Bud Light and over 100 brands.
Role Summary Trade Marketing Manager is the key liaison across wholesalers, retailers, and partners, bringing the brand portfolio to life through events, venues, and retail activations. Requires strong organization, communication, and creativity, and may involve after‑hours and weekend work.
Job Responsibilities
Develop plans and tailored playbooks for all channels, local properties and events
Mobilize brand planning
Lead sampling execution
Execute event and venue activations across territory
Manage ticketing
Plan and execute resort/destination activations where applicable
Collaborate with Experiential Team on professional or Tier 1 sponsorships
Negotiate local event sponsorships and manage territory‑specific budget (rights fees and activation funds)
Ensure mobile asset requests are complete and aligned with brands/events
Support venue CAPEX execution with CSO direction and On‑Premise visibility
Work closely with wholesalers on activation budgets and execution clarity
Support execution of on‑premise plans
Serve as BET Team Captain where applicable
Implement brand programming in off‑premise channel to drive volume and share growth
Manage ROI for channel programs
Communicate results and priorities weekly or monthly
Coach and mentor Trade Activation Managers and wholesaler sales teams
Direct channel‑specific pilots and optimize key levers
Cascade annual/trimester channel blueprint (initiatives and programs)
Track KPI’s – channel volume, share, program execution, distribution
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s Degree – highly preferred
5‑7 years of sales and/or marketing experience
In‑depth knowledge of regional marketing and sales organization
Strong internal and external communication skills
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and internal system tools
In‑depth knowledge of the on‑premise channel
Preferred:
MBA or advanced degree
Willingness to relocate for future opportunities
Knowledge of the beer/alcohol industry
