What You Will Do The Patient Account Representative is an extension of a client's business office staff. Representatives are responsible for:

Making inbound and outbound calls to insurance companies to resolve account balances.

Reviewing accounts, denials, credits, and ensuring all correspondence with patients and insurance companies is complete.

Completing all assigned projects in a timely manner.

Attempting to bring account balances to zero prior to forwarding accounts to an outside agency for collections.

Using Microsoft applications as needed.

What You Will Need

High School Diploma.

1–3 years of prior relevant experience in healthcare billing.

Nice to Have

2‑year medical billing experience.

Experience with specialized insurance companies such as Transplant Contracts, Workers' Compensation, and Dental carriers.

Working knowledge of Microsoft applications.

Knowledge of ICD‑10‑CM, ICD‑10‑PCS, CPT, and HCPCS.

Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
