Programmatic Account Manager – Political
at Samba TV, you’ll manage and grow relationships with
political agencies, consultants, and issue-based advertisers , ensuring they derive maximum value from Samba’s suite of audience targeting and measurement solutions. You’ll work closely with Sales to support key political accounts, drive audience activation strategies aligned to campaign objectives, and deliver a seamless client experience throughout the political campaign lifecycle. Your efforts will directly impact client satisfaction, retention, and growth within the political vertical.

Requirements:
Must live within 50 miles of a Samba Office in NYC or Chicago. Required in office 3 days a week (Tuesday–Thursday) with a possibility of increasing in the future. Who you are: Curious

Responsibilities
Client Growth, Retention & Satisfaction Own day-to-day account management for a portfolio of
political agencies, consultants, committees, and issue-based advertisers Partner with Sales to develop strategic account plans, support renewals, and identify expansion opportunities across political clients Ensure clients are effectively activating Samba TV political audiences and contextual data across major DSPs, SSPs, DMPs, and social platforms Build trusted relationships with political media buyers and strategists through proactive communication and white-glove service Lead business reviews focused on audience performance, delivery, measurement insights, and expansion opportunities throughout election cycles
Campaign & Platform Execution
Oversee audience segment setup and delivery across SSPs and programmatic buying platforms for political campaigns Support clients through the full political campaign lifecycle: planning, audience strategy, activation, QA, and post-campaign analysis Provide platform education and training on how to request, build, and deploy Samba TV audiences for political use cases Troubleshoot audience delivery or pacing issues and coordinate with technical teams to resolve activation challenges quickly during high-pressure campaign periods
Strategic Partnership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as a feedback loop between political clients and internal teams to improve ease of activation, compliance readiness, and audience performance Partner with Sales on pre-sale planning, political-focused platform demos, and aligning campaign objectives with Samba’s audience solutions Represent Samba’s political audience and measurement products with subject-matter expertise and a client-centric mindset Collaborate with Product, Measurement, Revenue Operations, and Finance to deliver enhanced solutions tailored to political advertising needs
What you bring
3–5 years
of experience in account management, client services, or programmatic strategy roles,
with exposure to political advertising Strong understanding of political programmatic buying and audience activation across DSPs (e.g., The Trade Desk, DV360, Yahoo DSP) Solid working knowledge of DMPs (e.g., LiveRamp, Lotame, Adform) and SSPs (e.g., OpenX, Magnite, Freewheel) Experience working with
political agencies, consultants, or media teams
to deliver audience and measurement solutions Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive, collaborative approach CRM and project management tool proficiency (Salesforce, Jira, Asana, Trello, etc.) Strong Excel skills (SUMIFS, INDEX MATCH, pivot tables, VLOOKUP); SQL is a plus Deep understanding of the digital advertising and programmatic ecosystem, particularly as it applies to political campaigns BA/BS with a focus on marketing, business, political science, data, or related experience
Salary & Benefits
$80,000 - $90,000 a year. Samba TV expects to offer a base salary between $80,000 - $90,000 USD per year for roles to be performed in New York City or California; actual base salary offered will depend on location, experience, and performance. Base salary is one component of Samba TV’s total compensation package. Other rewards may include bonuses, short-term incentives and long-term incentives. In addition, Samba provides health insurance, wellness offerings, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO), and other employee benefits.
