Job Description As Brand Manager you will lead the development and execution of comprehensive brand strategies aimed at strengthening Surya’s brand equity, awareness and market penetration. You will collaborate cross‑functionally and leverage market insights to elevate the brand’s presence across target markets, positioning Surya as a leader in the design industry.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy Development
– Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to craft innovative brand plans, evaluate market trends, consumer insights and the competitive landscape, and drive brand awareness, loyalty and market share.
Brand Awareness Initiatives
– Lead the creation and execution of multi‑channel campaigns (digital marketing, social media, PR, events, sponsorships and experiential activations); partner with agencies, influencers and industry stakeholders to amplify visibility and engagement.
Market Penetration Strategies
– Analyze market data and identify new growth opportunities across untapped customer segments and geographic regions; develop and implement initiatives to increase market share in target areas.
Brand Identity & Messaging
– Define, evolve and maintain a cohesive brand identity; craft messaging that communicates the value proposition and fosters an emotional connection with customers; steward brand personality, tone and voice across internal and external communications.
Brand Positioning
– Leverage customer insights, market research and trend analyses to refine positioning; differentiate the brand from competitors and align with overall business objectives.
Brand Guardianship
– Ensure all marketing communications, visual assets and experiences reflect brand guidelines; monitor consistency across channels and educate teams on brand values.
Brand Equity Enhancement
– Design and implement initiatives (partnerships, community engagement, co‑branding) that strengthen brand reputation; build relationships with influencers, media outlets and collaborators.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
– Work closely with marketing, product development, sales and other teams to integrate brand initiatives; support go‑to‑market strategies for new product launches.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
– Define key performance indicators, analyze campaign data, generate actionable insights and report results to senior leadership, driving continuous improvement and ROI.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field (MBA preferred).
5+ years of brand management or marketing experience, ideally within the design or home‑furnishings industry.
Deep understanding of branding principles, digital marketing and consumer behavior.
Proven track record of executing successful brand campaigns that deliver measurable results.
Strong leadership, project management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights and translate them into strategy.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence and inspire stakeholders.
Passion for design, creativity and storytelling.
