Fire Sprinkler Technician

This position is responsible for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems. It involves inspecting, testing, and performing system checks, as well as preparing accurate inspection reports.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct routine preventative maintenance on sprinkler fire suppression systems.
Service and inspect wet, dry, and pre‑action fire suppression systems.
Install, maintain, repair, or replace fire sprinkler equipment and systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
Service wet‑based fire sprinkler systems.
Interact with customers in a mature and professional manner.
Install or upgrade fire sprinklers in commercial and residential buildings.
Test and repair alarm systems already in place.
Perform inspections to ensure alarms are installed according to code.
Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues and reporting results of work completed accurately and timely.
Protect and maintain company equipment.
Inspect and maintain the truck and all related equipment, submitting repair requests as necessary to ensure safe operation.
Operate warehouse equipment, including vehicles, safely for loading and unloading of the truck while observing all safety regulations and manufacturer’s instructions.
Work safely as outlined by company safety procedures, including driver safety and PPE use.
Respond to emergency service calls.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
Follow direction and work independently when needed.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
Education & Qualifications
At least 4 years of experience with fire sprinkler systems.
Experience with commercial and residential systems.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
Clean driving record with reliable transportation to/from the office or job site.
Flexibility with scheduling, including occasional evening, weekend, and out‑of‑town assignments.
Knowledge of fire safety principles and practices.
Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations.
Ability to review official documents for completeness and accuracy.
Ability to act in a lead capacity.
Ability to recognize and report deviations through inspection programs.
Ability to interpret, apply, and explain applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
Ability to use or repair small/medium equipment, such as power tools, ladders, and machinery.
Other Duties
Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to fingers, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and occasionally lift and move heavy objects.
Requires balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity.
