Job Title
Senior Automotive Technician
Location Delano, MN
Pay Range $65,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
Diagnose vehicles according to certifications/experience level.
Perform work as outlined on the Multi‑point Inspection and/or Repair Order efficiently and accurately.
Carry out complex and heavy‑duty repairs.
Explain technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non‑mechanical individuals, including store managers, service consultants and customers.
Recommend necessary services and document recommendations in the customer file.
Follow all safety procedures and report concerns to direct supervisor.
Adhere to Sun Auto's core values and company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Work flexible schedules, Monday‑Friday.
Qualifications
Previous automotive technician / mechanic experience required.
ASE certifications in lieu of experience.
Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
Valid driver’s license.
Minimum 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical school experience preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non‑hazardous materials.
Temperature variance; may include extreme heat or cold.
Requires safety goggles or other PPE when necessary.
Stand up to eight hours per day and walk to access various areas.
Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly; require full range of motion with arms and hands.
Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly; lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently.
Communicate with customers and shop personnel.
Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re‑focus.
