THE OPPORTUNITY As Kitchen Leader you will learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You are responsible for ensuring our food is absolutely delicious. You’ll order the food and train others to become future Kitchen Leaders. You help ensure the quality and safety of Chipotle’s delicious food every day by keeping the kitchen clean, organized, well stocked, and ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.

What You’ll Do

Follow Chipotle’s policies and procedures and maintain food quality by cooking and prep food to order.

Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues.

Support a strong team dynamic between back‑of‑house Crew and front‑of‑house Crew.

Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.

Communicate with Crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service and throughput.

Ensure the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized.

Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it remains in good repair, reporting malfunctioning equipment for quick repair.

Maintain safety guidelines for the kitchen and Crew to prevent injuries or accidents.

Fill out Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and practice Inventory Rotation (FIFO).

What You’ll Bring To The Table

Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.

Knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.

A high school diploma.

Restaurant experience.
