Private Events Server

involves welcoming our members and providing excellent customer service. You will assist with the complete setup and breakdown of events, be responsible for bartending as well as serving food and beverages to guests. The Events Server plays a crucial role in ensuring guest satisfaction, collaborating with other team members, and completing pre-service and post-service duties, including accurately entering orders into POS and maintaining attentive service to support member or guest requests. maintains a positive and influential attitude, is detail oriented, process driven and flexible while working under pressure to ensure seamless communication between Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) staff.
Responsibilities
Positively influence members and guests by elevating the dining experience with food and drink pairing options and discussing specials to drive sales through consistent, approachable communication and the highest level of service in accordance with Soho House standards
Maintain communication and advise Management and Executive Chef on allergies or potential red flags to mitigate risk
Complete all checkout reports at the end of each shift and have them double checked and signed by management
Adhere to health and safety policies, Company policies, procedures, standards, and local, state, and federal laws as applicable
Accommodate guest requests or offer alternatives that better fit business needs, informing management as needed
Ensure food orders are fully plated and coursed out correctly before serving to members/guests
Assist runners and bussers with expo and service bar tickets to support all table orders
Clean and stock the server alley and bar area; polish silverware, plates, and glassware as needed
Knowledge of the menu with the ability to make suggestions when asked by members or guests
Required Skills / Qualifications
Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a similar capacity
Must be at least 18 years of age
Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests
Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed
Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously
Tips certified and POS knowledge
Physical Requirements
Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands
Must be able to perform periodical fast-paced movements to move around the property
Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 20 pounds
Must be able to occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb
Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, cleaning, and stooping
Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods
Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, reach, push, twist, walk, crouch, and squat
