Keeley Restoration Services seeks an experienced Concrete Carpenter to construct, install, and dismantle concrete formwork with precision and care, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with project specifications.
Job Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions and materials needed for concrete formwork
Build, erect, install, and repair concrete forms and structures using wood, metal, or other materials
Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, or other materials to create precise formwork for concrete pouring
Construct and set forms for foundations, walls, columns, stairs, and other concrete structures
Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and bracing of forms to meet specifications and ensure stability
Install expansion joints and embedded items in concrete structures as specified
Strip and dismantle formwork after concrete has cured sufficiently
Maintain and care for equipment, tools, and materials used in concrete carpentry
Check completed formwork for quality, stability, and compliance with specifications
Apply curing compounds or perform other concrete finishing tasks as needed
Work collaboratively with concrete pouring teams and other construction trades
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience in concrete formwork and carpentry
Proven ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications
Experience with various forming systems (including traditional wood forms and modular systems)
Proficiency with carpentry tools and equipment specific to concrete work
Strong understanding of concrete properties and curing requirements
Knowledge of proper forming techniques for various concrete elements
Strong attention to detail and precision in formwork construction
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (50+ lbs) regularly
Stamina to work in various weather conditions and construction environments
Ability to stand, kneel, or crouch for extended periods
Manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination for precise formwork construction
Comfortable working at heights when necessary
