Inside Sales Representative – Rockford, IL
Richards Building Supply is a family‑owned and operated wholesale building material distributor with over 40 years of successful service across 12 states. We’re looking for a driven Inside Sales Representative to be the backbone of our customer relationships, providing expert guidance and support to contractors and industry professionals in Rockford, IL.

What You’ll Do
Act as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them find the right products for their projects
Handle inbound and outbound customer interactions—via phone or in‑person—to ensure every customer feels valued
Collaborate with outside sales reps to drive sales and resolve customer needs
Process orders, track inventory, and coordinate product transfers to meet customer demands
Educate customers on promotions, new products, and industry trends to maximize sales opportunities
Maintain accurate records, process payments, and ensure seamless order fulfillment
Requirements
2–3 years of experience in a customer‑facing role, preferably in sales, retail, or distribution
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office; CRM experience a plus)
Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
Industry knowledge is a plus; we’re happy to train motivated candidates
Spanish‑speaking skills are a strong advantage but not required
Willingness to travel overnight (up to 10 %)
