Career Opportunities with Closner Equipment Parts Sales Representatives are expected to perform a variety of inside sales, customer service, and stocking duties related to the sale, receiving, and delivery of parts and accessories that contribute to the efficient, safe, and profitable operation of the Dealership’s Parts Department. Responsible for processing counter, e‑mail, telephone parts sales, provide customer service, and other essential job functions. Commission-based sales bonuses based on parts individual sales numbers. Must be highly motivated.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain relationships with existing customer base through phone calls in person interactions, or emails

Finding and engaging with new customers through referrals, networking, and cold calling • Proactively reaching out to new and current customers to generate parts orders

Prepare and complete sales orders and invoice customers electronically in business system • Ability to read computer displays, PDF files, or catalogs to determine replacement part numbers and prices

Determine parts required according to inspection of parts, customer’s requests/description of machine malfunctions

Take customer orders, retrieve parts from warehouse, and coordinate delivery to customer

Package and label customer orders for UPS, FedEx, motor freight, and Hot Shot shipments

Fill customer orders through drop shipments by issuing Purchase Orders to manufacturers

Receive payment or obtain credit authorization

Examine returned parts for defects, and exchange defective parts or refund money

The ability to stand and kneel for long periods of time while stocking parts

The ability to operate a forklift while stocking or retrieving parts

Mark and store parts in parts storage according to prearranged systems

Process and analyze parts sales reports to adjust parts stock levels

Take inventory of stock by using cycle counting and annual inventory counts

Reliability in attendance, punctuality, able to meet deadlines and accept accountability for their results; self-motivated

Qualifications

Receive parts inventory orders and post to proper location in inventory business system • The ability to lift 50-pound boxes to a height of 3-4 feet and load them onto storage shelves or customer’s vehicles

High school education, and three years’ sales experience

Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

Ability to perform High School level math calculations

Ability to work directly with the public with a high level of customer service

Ability to communicate effectively by telephone, text, email, and face to face with customers

Ability to work well in a team environment by developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.

Highly skilled in business systems such as MS Dynamics, SAP or other like business systems • Proficiency in the use of MS Office, Word, and Excel programs

Proficiency in the use of MS Office, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel programs and the ability to scan, attach, and send and receive attachments

PHYSICAL AND WORKSITE ENVIRONMENT

Ability to constantly operate a computer throughout the day at a fast pace

Operate other office productivity machinery such as a scanner, and printer

Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses

Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential customers

Resolves customer issues/complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management

Developing specific plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish your work in a timely manner • Keeping up to date technically and applying new knowledge to your job

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies • Contribute to company’s social media presence in a positive manner

Must be able to remain in a sitting position 75% of the workday

Must be able to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. • Must be able to move about warehouse to access parts, package and ship orders, and receive shipments

Ability to work in ambient weather conditions when shipping, and receiving parts, and taking inventory • Ability to work Monday to Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM and overtime as needed • Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Ability to perform special projects as needed by the company
