CADD Tech
with 5+ years of relevant experience for a position with our Transportation Group.
Principal Responsibilities
Create and update design plans: Develop detailed roadway and transportation plans using OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation.
Generate cross-sections and construction drawings, ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.
Collaborate with engineers: Work closely with civil engineers to translate design concepts into accurate CADD drawings and models.
Ensure compliance and accuracy: Perform quality checks to ensure all designs meet state DOT and federal standards while maintaining accuracy.
Manage project files: Organize and maintain drawings and models using ProjectWise or similar document management systems.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree or technical certification in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in drafting and designing for civil engineering projects.
Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and MicroStation.
Strong understanding of civil engineering design standards and specifications, particularly in roadway, transportation, and site development projects.
Experience creating and modifying plan sets, cross-sections, and profiles in ORD and MicroStation.
Familiarity with file management and organization within ProjectWise or similar document management systems.
Ability to interpret engineering plans, specifications, and design guidelines.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all deliverables.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and project managers.
Compensation Range $64,848.58 - $86,464.77
