Community Liaison

– North Spring Behavioral Healthcare

Position Purpose Under the direction of the Director of Business Development, the Community Liaison will develop and maintain relationships in markets that will generate the desired utilization of the facility’s continuum of care. Ultimately, the Community Liaison will provide community education on the mission and goals of North Spring Behavioral Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Director of Business Development in developing and implementing a strategic plan to promote services to all potential referral sources in a manner consistent with the mission and vision.

Travel regionally to maintain a database of healthcare professionals.

Responsible for growing patient census by exploring new referral sources, maintaining existing accounts, identifying referral source needs and tailoring services to meet those needs.

Coordinate with the Director of Business Development on ongoing updates of the Referral Source Database.

Coordinate with the Admissions Department to follow up with all referral sources regarding referrals and admissions.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Location Leesburg, Virginia – 40 miles northwest of Washington, DC. 45‑acre campus in a rural area on the northern edge of Leesburg, with gymnasium, outdoor campus, high ropes course, and excellent public school system.

Qualifications

Good verbal and written skills; skills in public speaking and problem solving; excellent customer service skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Public Relations/Business/Counseling or a related social science field (minimum).

1+ years in a related healthcare field; psychiatric healthcare marketing experience preferred; five or more years of experience may substitute for the educational requirement.

Knowledge of and adherence to company safety practices.

Must be able to operate a computer and review reports containing data with small print.

Must be able to travel by car and airplane, sitting for long periods of time.

Must be able to occasionally lift 30 pounds and carry small objects.
