Mail Clerk - Baltimore, MD (Direct Hire- Full Time, M-F) IST Management Services is sourcing for a direct hire, full-time, Mail Clerk position in Baltimore, MD. This position will work full time hours per day in a financial institution mail room. IST is a rapidly growing business process outsourcing (BPO) company and the largest American privately‑owned facilities management company. Founded in 1997, the company is a two‑time recipient of the Human Resources Professional Excellence Award granted by the Society for Human Resource Management. Hours Monday through Friday, 11:30am to 8:00pm (need flexibility to potentially cover earlier shifts when needed)

Compensation The approximate compensation for this role will be $17.00 to $18.00 USD per hour depending on the candidate’s experience/qualifications.

Note As a requirement of this position, the client will perform an extensive review of applicant credit history. Applicant must be able to meet client standards to fill position.

Responsibilities

Operating mailing, copy, and fax equipment; handling mail/copy/legal documents

Providing high levels of customer care and a friendly, cooperative attitude

Typing correspondence, filing, copying, data entry, word processing, sending and receiving faxes, sorting mail and other administrative tasks as assigned; shipping & receiving; updating employee lists

Pick‑up and deliver mail, parcels, copy jobs and faxes to customers; lift large bundles of mail, overnight packages and shipments of paper; handle time‑sensitive material like confidential, urgent packages

Demonstrate flexibility in satisfying customer demands in a high volume production environment; consistently adhere to business procedure guidelines

Take direction from supervisor or site manager; participate in cross‑training

Maintain all logs and reporting documentation; attention to detail; adhere to all safety procedures; perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Customer service related experience preferred (Hospitality/ Retail/ Restaurants)

Professional appearance and demeanor; keyboarding and Windows environment PC skills

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment; competency in performing multiple functional tasks

Ability to meet employer’s attendance policy; a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work

Capable of lifting up to 55 pounds; willingness to cross‑train for other job functions
