* Follows industry trends through blogs, e-newsletters and social media.* Looks for innovative ways to illustrate and share information to appropriate audiences.* Keeps track of trends and news in related areas, such as marketing, advertising and higher ed.* Seeks out and participates in training to enhance or develop new skills* Performs other duties as assigned.* Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, fine arts, or equivalent combination of education and experience.* Two years of experience in graphics design, web development, print and electronic media, marketing or related design fields.* Three years' experience in design, including print and online media.* Experience working in marketing and communications field and working within brand guide or standard.* Experience with project management or using a project management tool.* Expert skill level using Adobe Creative Suite, including: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, AfterEffects, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.* Strong understanding of design principles and motion design principles.* Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.* Understanding of principles of animation and templates building.* Understanding of social media strategy.* Ability to create print specifications, obtain print bids, prep files for printing, oversee proofing and production and perform press checks.* Excellent time management skills.* Passion for and deep understanding of Texas A&M’s mission, values, and culture.The Texas A&M University System is one of the largest systems of higher education in the nation, with a statewide network of twelve universities, eight state agencies, a comprehensive health science center, Texas A&M-Fort Worth and Texas A&M-RELLIS.The A&M System is committed to providing an educational and work environment that is conducive to the personal and professional development of each employee.Each member institution provides equal opportunity and access to all students, employees and prospective employees.
